I was born in
Rochester, New York and lived on a dairy farm till I was married
in 1971. I attended the Trinity Church of the Nazarene where my
uncle was the pastor.
I was a pretty
good kid who participated in sports at school and was active in
the youth programs at church. I enjoyed hanging around my friends
at church and felt that everything was okay in my spiritual life.
I was wrong - I was a good kid who needed Jesus in my life, not
just in my head.
One night I
felt God's call to seek Him and I turned and walked out the door.
I started home and after a few miles, felt God's pull so strongly
that I turned around and went back to the church. Morris Wilson,
my uncle and pastor, prayed with me at the wooden altar in the church
and it was then that I accepted Jesus into my life.
It was the best
decision I've ever made! It has not always been easy, but the Lord
has been with me, never giving up on me, even now when I still fail
Him. Through the good and the difficult times He has been there
to strengthen and comfort me. I am still growing and learning the
need to draw on His strength and power each day.
I love Jesus
and thank Him for not giving up on me and being there for each and
every day! There is no other way to live and be at peace than to
live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ!
